Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children - was born at Woodland Hills in 1956. Her family consisted of her mother, who was household worker and father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick began singing and performing in the early years of her life. When McCormick was six years older, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her and asked if she'd be interested in entering show business. McCormick had her first significant role when she got a part as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. The same year, she was featured in another television commercial for Chatty Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the character of Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity with her sister Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene and he was just 19. This would have occurred according to her. The timing for our relationship wasn't right.
