Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as a teacher and her mom was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing from a young age, and frequently performed puppet shows in front of the children from her neighborhood. When McCormick was six years young, she took home an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she'd be interested in entering the show business. McCormick's first big job was during 1964, when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for The Wind It Up And It's Breaks by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from a field of 1200 children who auditioned to play the eldest of three towheaded girls on the brand new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for five seasons and the show was a success. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the 5th season of the television show she almost lost their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams. She was just 16 at the time; he was 19. She said that it would be possible, however it was never the best moment to make the decision.
