Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children was born in Woodland Hills in 1956. Her father was an elementary school teacher, and her mother as an at-home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick began singing and performing at a very young age. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she took home her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of six, which prompted an inquiry from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked whether she wanted to enter the show industry. McCormick landed her first major task in 1964 as she acted in a TV commercial featuring Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for The Wind It Up And It's Breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of more than 1200 children to become the oldest of the three twins in the TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick revealed the story Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year run in the series. In 2008, she revealed in her book Heres the story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that during season five of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to Barry Williams. She stated, but the time wasn't right for us.
