Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only one of Richard McCormick. Her mother was at home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. From a young age McCormick was a singer and dance and would often perform puppet shows for youngsters in the area. Her rise to fame as a fairytale began when she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of six, which prompted being contacted by an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked if she would like to enter the show industry. McCormick was offered her first major job when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964, for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the lead role in the play Wind It Up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 200 auditioned kids, played the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) which starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick said in her 2008 book Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having ended her relationship in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. The actress was just 16 years old, and the actor 19, at that at the time. The woman said it might have been feasible, but we didn't have the proper moment to make the decision.
