There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. At a young age, McCormick was a singer as well as dance. She would also perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. After winning her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 years old, Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the entertainment industry. Her first major role came during 1964, which was when she appeared in a TV commercial for Mattels new Baby Pattaburp doll. The commercial was re-run in 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the main character in Wind It up and It Breaks, a play at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected from among 1200 children who auditioned to be the youngest of three daughters towheaded on the brand new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. This show lasted for five seasons. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in the year 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick almost lost her virginity on the set of the series during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. In the moment, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. It would have happened she said but the timing wasn't right for us.
