Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her family consisted of her mother, who was an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. Beginning at a very early age, McCormick loved to sing and dance, and she would frequently perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 which led to being contacted by an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked if she'd like to be in show business. McCormick landed her first major job in 1964 as she acted in a TV commercial featuring Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. The same year, she starred in a second commercial on television for the doll Chatty Cathy. After that, she was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the character of Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1200 auditioning children to play the third of three head-to-head daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. It lasted five years. McCormick admitted her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year duration of the show. She was just 16 when she was in the scene and he was just 19. The incident would have happened according to her. But, the time for our marriage was not the right one.
